To My Neighbor

I lift you higher,
lift you out
of your body cells
stuffed with anxiety
of your past -
an evil load that smells.

I'll fill each cell
with love and joy
that makes the
angels dance.
You'll glide through earthly
filth and stench -
a spiritual trance.

From your youth filled eyes,
your hands
and feet,
a holy peace shall flow,
so you and I
be filled with grace -
let us be still
and know.

tiefem Menschenleid zum Ruhm,

Lies sie still in reinem Lichte,
unbeschattet,
frei von Trieben:

	1972: The Holcaust - from a Survivor of Verdun (Harper & Row, NY) Autobiographical account of a zealous volunteer for the Kaiser's army in World War I, how he discovered his conscience on the way to the Battle of Verdun, and his Vow and its effects on the battlefield. - out of print. 	1983: Einstein and the Poet - In Search of the Cosmic Man (Branden Press) - A recounting of four major conversations with the author's mentor and friend Albert Einstein. Much is discussed around the theme of being a person of conscience or not as they both look at the historical events encompassing them. - available at online book distributors and the publisher.
