To My Neighbor

I lift you higher,
lift you out
of your body cells
stuffed with anxiety
of your past -
an evil load that smells.

I'll fill each cell
with love and joy
that makes the
angels dance.
You'll glide through earthly
filth and stench -
a spiritual trance.

From your youth filled eyes,
your hands
and feet,
a holy peace shall flow,
so you and I
be filled with grace -
let us be still
and know.

tiefem Menschenleid zum Ruhm,

Lies sie still in reinem Lichte,
unbeschattet,
frei von Trieben:

Divine Possession

Your consciousness belongs to me,
speak I your God. Your friend is its trustee.

I fill you now with love and faith and hope;
you shall on earth no longer wail and grope

through darkness and despair.
When I made the heavens, you were there.
You are my light; go forth, shine everywhere.

Give up, give up, what rankled in your past.
Your friend shall be my witness. You shall last

and shine your light, your yesterday will fade,
for you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You give your depth and height to me;
my spirit, then, will set you free
and share with you my glory.
