To My Neighbor

I lift you higher,
lift you out
of your body cells
stuffed with anxiety
of your past -
an evil load that smells.

I'll fill each cell
with love and joy
that makes the
angels dance.
You'll glide through earthly
filth and stench -
a spiritual trance.

From your youth filled eyes,
your hands
and feet,
a holy peace shall flow,
so you and I
be filled with grace -
let us be still
and know.

tiefem Menschenleid zum Ruhm,

Lies sie still in reinem Lichte,
unbeschattet,
frei von Trieben:

Farewell Intellect

Oh dreams of power,
Oh power of dreams!
You pull and tear
man's fleshly seams,
recreate him with
atomic ribs,
soar up to visit
the Apocalypse.

Oh soul-filled love,
oh love-filled soul!
Where will you end?
In the black hole
a trap, a turnstile
to oblivion? More dead
than death? A road sign warned —
"Armageddon," it read.

There was one youth
shocked by the sign —
cried: "Greed farewell,
no longer mine.
Farewell scheming intellect —
my soul be my only property,
and intuition be my profit
to set my neighbor free."

He heard a voice: "You will not be slain.
My son was lost and is found again."
