To My Neighbor

I lift you higher,
lift you out
of your body cells
stuffed with anxiety
of your past -
an evil load that smells.

I'll fill each cell
with love and joy
that makes the
angels dance.
You'll glide through earthly
filth and stench -
a spiritual trance.

From your youth filled eyes,
your hands
and feet,
a holy peace shall flow,
so you and I
be filled with grace -
let us be still
and know.

Seelentränen sind Gedichte,
rot mit Herzblut aufgeschrieben,
tiefem Menschenleid zum Ruhm,

Lies sie still in reinem Lichte,
unbeschattet,
frei von Trieben:
Du betrittst ein Heiligtum.

Spiritual Involvement

When I stretched out the heavens, I thought of you.
I sowed my thoughts on earth; they formed and grew
into your consciousness. It is a part of me.
I gave you a friend to watch as its trustee.

He shall unfold your love and faith and hope.
The earth was hard on you; now you can cope
with what besets your mind, your flustering heart.
No longer shall despair rent you apart.

Give up, you must, what rankled in your past.
I call your friend as witness. You shall cast
my light on earth. You are one man's crusade.
You're fearfully and wonderfully made.

You give your depth and height to me,
my spirit then shall set you free,
share with you both my glory.
