To My Neighbor

I lift you higher,
lift you out
of your body cells
stuffed with anxiety
of your past -
an evil load that smells.

I'll fill each cell
with love and joy
that makes the
angels dance.
You'll glide through earthly
filth and stench -
a spiritual trance.

From your youth filled eyes,
your hands
and feet,
a holy peace shall flow,
so you and I
be filled with grace -
let us be still
and know.

                          A Prayer

Creative energy, cosmic life force:
You flow through me and sustain me.
You are my "I am."
You made me in your image;
I glorify you and thank you.

Take away my yesterday and my tomorrow.
Give me the eternal now!
Give me a consciousness that knows your Will
So that I may infuse my free and knowing will
With your intentions! and my consciousness
Shall become my conscience.
Give me your healing love
Forgive the evil in me
So that I may heal my neighbor.
Forgive the evil in me
As I forgive the evil in others.

Let me not be tempted by my human nature
But save me from the powers of darkness
So that I may shine in your light.
I was, I am, I will be
The manifestation of your law,
your principle. your power.
Let me always be your messenger
So that I may joyfully declare:

    This earth. so wicked, so wide
    So barren — its greed and strife
    Have no hold over me.
    My will has set me free.
    I choose the creator's side;
    I am the ally of life
