To My Neighbor

I lift you higher,
lift you out
of your body cells
stuffed with anxiety
of your past -
an evil load that smells.

I'll fill each cell
with love and joy
that makes the
angels dance.
You'll glide through earthly
filth and stench -
a spiritual trance.

From your youth filled eyes,
your hands
and feet,
a holy peace shall flow,
so you and I
be filled with grace -
let us be still
and know.

Seelentränen sind Gedichte,
rot mit Herzblut aufgeschrieben,
tiefem Menschenleid zum Ruhm,

Lies sie still in reinem Lichte,
unbeschattet,
frei von Trieben:
Du betrittst ein Heiligtum.

                You and Others

Don't spend one thought
on what people say about you.
This is worthy: Think day and night
of what your inner self says of you.

The voice of man is. a tinkling cymbal;
your inner voice is of the Spirit.

Men hate you for the good you do.
They hate what is different.

The Spirit loves you for the good
you do to others, since it is He
who does it.

Let your conscience decide your actions,
not what the mass mind tells you do.
Its lowest common denominator
molds its wants. To yourself be true.
