Poem of William HermannsP002
Who are you, man?
Who are you, man? I am my Maker's image; He breathed His breath in me; I am my brother's image; He breathed my breath in him, I am the kin of all beneath, above, The ant, the rose, the seed of mighty oak, God told His breath, go forth and live and love. What are you, man? I am the walking thought of nature. The ant feeds me with order, zeal and joy; The rose weaves perfume in my mental cloak; The honey laden spring breeze nudges me: "Let's fly and hum together with the bee And hang our thoughts as leaves onto the oak! I lure you with my love; I'm God's decoy." Why are you, man? To mold creative wisdom in my flesh. I drink the ocean out, absorb the sun; I glitter with the Himalayan snow; I mold creative wisdom to "I am." "I am" shall fill your you. My love shall glow Upon your void and level out your loss. I am the man that takes you from your cross. William Hermanns [P002] |
